I've seen the art work before. I will look for it again and see if there is any more info available. What is the handle material?

Thanks Richard, any info about this knife would really help... I'm not sure on the handle inlays, sorry... Thanks again, Armand

Another nice knife, good artwork. I did a quick search, and Ashcroft was a company that was sold and acquired by Manning, Maxwell and Moore (MM&M) and is now part of the company Dresser,Inc. In 1912, MM&M was noted for having Diamond Jim Brady one of New Yorks more colorful characters and its most successful salesman as vice president.

but what is the link between D.Jim and the pressure switches

Best,
Haebbie

Diamond Jim Brady - here's a rather good short bio. One of the most interesting figures of the Gilded Age -- had a passion for diamonds and eating.

Thanks Scott, Haebbie, and zerogee, for all the info on Diamond Jim... I just wonder why he's on a Buck Blade... ITE ...

Is it possible that he founded the hich pressure switch company ot that he was the grey eminence behind the managemant?

Haebbie

Haebbie, it could be... We have Moose, Elk, Fish, Horses, Deers, and so on... And we have D Jim... It's different, that's for sure...
I wonder how many they made??? ITE ...

Armand, but there are are a lot of companies using the Buck knives with etched
blades for their prmotions. But I couldn't find the D Jim 503 in the special edition list.
