i myself personally love the turquoise trapper. it is a nice gents knife and it is different than what i currently carry, and i think it would be a nice addition to my collection. what do ya'll think? any of these would be nice though:D

I have been looking at the Bone stag Stockman. Thats the one I would get first, but then that is just me.

Those are all nice knives, though quite different than each other, varying over an inch in closed length, and at least one with Tru-Sharp stainless as opposed to CV steel blades.

My personal preference is for natural colors, so I prefer the Amber Bones and the Mini Trapper with the wood and Turquoise inlay. But that's just me. I can certainly see how you like the larger CV Trapper with multiple mineral inlays. Be aware that Case's Red Bone (the last knife listed) can be pretty bright red.

Like most things, a very personal choice. Which do you like the best? If it comes down to $25-30 difference, get the one you really want. I often find myself hedging over buying the nicer of two items, trying to convince myself to cheapen out. If you don't get the one calling to you you will always regret it.

Of course, the standard answer is to buy them all, and let it be the start of your collection...

I like the natural bone trapper or the bone stag stockman myself,I was just looking at a Queen stockman yesterday that is very similar.

As said, it's a matter of personal tastes ultimately, but for what it's worth...I like the amber bone trapper myself. Then again, I do have a predilection for trappers.

sorry thawk i meant a schrade 34OT not a 35:rolleyes:

Well I figued as much. They used a lot of numbers. 834, 835, 832, 34, 33, 833 ...

On another note, I just bought a Case amber bone peanut. I love it. Probably need a matching Texas jack and a stockman.

well right now, the turquoise trappers are out of stock, so it looks like i might get an amber bone trapper adn stockman for about the same price. im jsut awaiting some emails from a few sites about if the turquoise trapper is in stock. so we'll see in the end

The amber bone CV trapper and stockman are really nice. One of those would be my pick.

i myself personally love the turquoise trapper. it is a nice gents knife ...

Hmmm, I never would have considered a trapper a "gents knife." Not that a gentleman couldn't carry one, mind you .... it's just that I'd feel a little odd if my dress pants fell down in church from all that weight in my pocket. :p
