I just picked up this set of knives from a larger collection. It looks like the blades are some type of stainless, and the bolsters and pommels are layered brass???

An acquaintance inherited them from his Grandfather. He decided to sell these to me and keep some others. I was not able to take pictures, but the others were very nice knives. One was a large drop point fighting knife with a partial double edge, and the other was a classic swept belly type of skinner -both with unique damascus patterns (one looked like it might have been ball bearing damascus, and the other was a "wavy random pattern").

I was curious if anyone around here had any knives from this maker, or any information about him. It would be greatly appreciated. I think my acquaintance would be interested because it seems like his grandfather knew the maker pretty well.

Anyways, thanks for looking!

Hello ‘The Gov’… Yeah, that would be me. Surprised to see my name here. And I recognize the set, from (I’m guessing) early mid 90s. Cannot remember who had it offhand, but perhaps Initials J.B.? Curious what others you may have seen…Thank you for asking and would enjoy your comments and questions. Alex Hughes
