Thank you Charlie, what a great friend you have been to me.

Well over a month ago just before the GEC picnic Charlie posted a picture in his Barlow thread of a knife I had never seen (where was I?)))
I HAD to find one. I emailed Charlie and asked him if he knew where I could find one, he wrote back that he would sell me his. Now if you folks are like me, when I NEEEED a knife I'll pay whatever it costs to buy it (within reason). Charlie gave me an amazing deal on what I consider to be a Grail GEC/Charlie knife. My first GEC was Charlies Real Harness jack, I love the pattern. This is the 85 with the first razor blade, a prototype in essence for the Stews blade Barlows. I Love this knife Charlie, thanks so much for passing it to me.
So it gets better. Charlie mentioned in his email that he was sending me a knife on approval and that I would like the knife and the price.
I recently got the Tomatoe acrylic bug and was thinking that I'd never be able to find a harness jack. Anyway, here are the pics, with a few other neat things he sent me.

I would sit down and type out my experiences with Charlie. But I enjoy Charlie and my conversations - but can I say Robin you are a hang of a nice guy mate and truly deserve Charlies attention. Thank you for sharing that gorgeous knife my friend.

Glad it got there Robin! I'm on a little vacation with Joanne, and cannot access email, so it is nice to hear on BF. Anyone I missed before I left, my apologies.
I thought those Tomatoes were all gone Robin, but there was yours, looking up at me from a near-empty box!!
 
That is just awesome Robin!! Without Charlie, there would be no grail knives like the ones you have. You are both fine gentlemen and thanks for sharing. :thumbup:

Wow that EO/One-Arm Ebony 85 is OUTSTANDING!!! I sure did miss that one! I'd love to find one like that myself - very cool!

Great looking knives you got. Packages from Charlie are very nice to receive.
 
Charlie has hooked me up in the past, and
I am pretty sure he helped my wife with a
Christmas purchase for me a few years ago.
And a wealth of info, and really cool old knives,
one of which shares its name with my elementary
school. One day, I hope to purchase that knife.
