I need some feedback from a knowledgeable crowd.

Here are 2 I just finished up with completely different pedigrees. I call them "Ultralight" hunters. Both are about 7-1/4inches OAL, 1095 steel, edge quenched, triple tempered, flat ground, convex edged with full tapered tangs, 416SS fittings & filed thumb traction grooves.

The "Custom" version is FORGED TO SHAPE 1095 with a satin hand rubbed finish & Red Mallee Burl handles.

The Workforce version is STOCK-REMOVED 1095, therefore less pronounced shape due to barstock restrictions. Machine finished with zero hand work on the blade. Handles are a polished polyester jade material I got from Knifekits.com. Its tougher than Corian.

The Workforce version, I'm selling at 60-75% the price of the Custom version. Is there a market for such variations on the theme ?

Thanks in advance, and thanks for looking. Jason.

I think it's a fine idea.
PJ Tomes MS always has a few 'low frills' workers on his table when he comes to NY.
Do a few and see how they sell?
:D

At 60%, I think I'd consider the savings for the Workforce version. By 75%, I'd probably rather pay the extra 25% for the Custom version with the better edge profile and nicer scales. Both are great though BTW.

Love the blade and the wood handles but I cant say that I like the corian'ish handles, would prefer G10, wood or something like that.
