Good evening Chris Reeve fans!! As you may are may not know my "Avatar" is an Umfaan. It's actually a post card from South Africa featuring a picture of a Zulu boy circa 1920 give or take. The caption on the card reads "A Zulu Umfaan (Boy) "An Open Countenance" I purchased the post card from a paper dealer in England. (And you guys thought it was a picture of the current occupant of the White House in is youth) So, I really love these little knives. They are to say the least amazing!! Here are some pictures of my latest Umfaan with it's older brother and a cousin thrown in for size comparison. (Small "P" Sebenza)
All the best, Dave

I have never even gotten to see one of these rare knives in person, and you own two!!! Very nice little knives:thumbup:

Love the pictures but most of all the explation of you Avatar. And there is not way I would associate you with the current occupant of the White House!!

Thanks Ernie1980!! There not as rare as you might think, I've been lucky enough to have owned four of these little guys but had to let two of them go chasing a "Grail" :( they are a little pricey though....
All the best, Dave

Thanks Birdhunter!! Glad you enjoyed the explanation, its actually true although I must admit I bowered the image..and then purchased it later ;) the postage from the UK was more than the card! As was the frame I have it in.
All the best, Dave
P.S. Thanks for not thinking I'm like Barry. He's much taller than me...:D

Wow!
You're ability to hunt down fine rare CRK's is astounding, you really get the job done, do good work, interact well with other people, earn the respect of others, help those around you- sorry, got caught up in a few of the ways that you're not like that D-bag that holds the title of Commander and Chief but still blames his(and our) woes on the last guy that had the job- after he begged to get the job-TWICE !

Congrats on another great CRK, I think I'd love to have an Umfaan, though as you might expect I'd probably end up putting it in my pocket.

Thanks for sharing.

Rich.. I am truly humbled by your kind words my friend!! ;) another example of the camaraderie and friendship that really is "This thing of Ours"!! And a big heartfelt thank you to everyone here in the Chris Reeve Fourm! Without the Forum most of us wouldn't have anywhere to go, not just to share our latest finds but ask questions, seek advice and increase our knowledge. The support and encouragement received from everyone here is what makes collecting these fine tools and works of art so enjoyable! Every view on the counter, every comment on a thread is appreciated! Enough of that!
Yea I can see you on a hunting trip or family picnic pulling out your Umfaan to slice up a hot dog or piece of fruit!! That is if you can find the tiny blade in your pocket!! :) Thanks again brother!
Sincerely, Dave
P.S. It's a beautiful day today! OLDOBOB......
