I just finished up the larger of these 2 knives. I'm tired and will post some specs tomorrow.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck

Charles.......those are amazing!!!

Absolutely stunning.......... :)

Well Chuck it looks like you really came up with something fresh and original, we haven't seen anything like this before. Keep up the good work and good luck at Blade. You should think about entering them in one of the knife award categories.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the kind words.

Rich- I was thinking of either best folder or I think they have a category of best of the rest for knives like balisongs ect.

I have one more on order then I will see how creative I can get with one.

Those are great. How do you arrange to have the layers perfectly aligned? Is it a stack that you then cut in half?

Also, what's the guard material? Bronze?

The Guards are brass but I am thinking of doing one with a damascus guard.

The scales are all indvidual pieces that I cut and then glue together. They are not just held in place with glue, and i'm not telling how I keep them in place. They are made up of various woods like purple heart, ebony, cocobolo, desert ironwood, stabilized maple burl, bocote and leather, ect. They also have brass, nickel or copper spacers. I cut 2 of each type of material and stack the handle indvudually on each side.

For me, the most striking and warm aspect of this is the old-style brass. It's really grabs my eye and *makes* the look. Don't stray too far...

I must say, those are some of the most attractive folders I've seen. I dont make folders , yet. These things you've made are makin me want to get started. The blend between both worlds is commendable and tastefull. Lin

DAYUMMMM! Those are fantastic! I hope you make the Chicago custom show and bring some of these along.
