Those look outstanding. I am sure they work even better than they look.

That XHP is some nice stuff!

XHP is interesting stuff to be sure, though I'm not too sure how I feel about it.

On my XM-18 and my Spyderco Manix 2, I've spotted some rust forming on the blades, though on the Manix 2 that was sharpened by Ankerson, it's still the most scary sharp thing I have in my collection.

Kind of curious about the properties with regards to stain resistance compared to D2, as well as the ability to take and hold a razor edge. My Queen Cutlery D2 seems to hold a razor edge very well, and I'm curious if the powder metallurgy of XHP improves upon that.

the powder melt takes away the thing that D2 lovers love and thats the toothyness from large carbides. if you are not needing the large carbid toothyness and would rather have even finer edge then XHP is the way to go. the other thing gained in being made in powder is that it is better at not rusting (its right on the edge tho so a proper belt finish helps ) i have found it wil lightly patina in some food prep but its not a big deal

Hmm, sounds cool. Dozier D2 takes a hell of a toothy edge and keeps it forever. Not too sure about the Queen Cutlery D2 as I still haven't dulled it enough to notice.

I'm curious if you use other super steels as well like M390, CTS-204P, or Elmax.

Been thinking about getting a custom made Elmax Chinese Cleaver as a present for my mom.

Great looking batch of knives! Awesome blades and the handles are stunning, great selection of attractive woods. Love the cocobolo and walnut. Excellent work!

i woudl have ot take a look at my data sheets for those other steels to see how thee stack up
and the other thing i really have trouble calling XHP super steel. its super good at what its ment to do (take a fine edge and hold it well with good rust resistance) but it cant really be comparred to the super high allow multi carbide steels. you kind of need to pick what you want most and the get the right steel for the job. for SS razors and fine edge kitchen knives im not sure if it can be beat.
