Here's my latest finished work for you all to have a look at.
It's an ang khola style kukri in ladder pattern steel, 15n20/1080 mix.
The blade is 13.5” and is just about 5/16” thick at the ricasso, with lots of distal taper.

The bolster is aluminum bronze and the handle is stabilized spalted endgrain maple. There is lots of drop at the butt, to really sock it into one's grip.

It features through-tang construction with a bronze sex bolt and brass bushing securing the tang end.

It is razor sharp and really wants to chop stuff, it is apparent by the feel and balance!

I made it a simple hand-tooled sheath, as the customer will be carrying it and using it.

Opinions are solicited.

Enjoy!

very very cool Salem I love the way you mix things up I always like seeing your work.

That is just too much. I can only imagine how well it chops. It is posts like that that rearrange my whole custom knife wish list.

this knife just made me a fan of the kukri, where previously I was not. that is just stunning. excellent work!

seems like you made a good impression, bud!

#2 is 88% designed...

Killer. I could not have imagined a comfortable handle with that traditional kukri band around the center but you have made it real

I'm not a big fan of Kukris usually as I find the belly is often too big, but this one hits the bullseye.
Awesome sleek profile.
It's a very, very nice knife.
