Every once in a while you get an HI blade that just connects with you perfectly. I have been very lucky with some models, and the Jange is one of them. I waited early on to get one, and after missing quite a few of them last year finally snagged a USA wood beauty with some of the prettiest grain I have ever seen in wood (some kind of fancy figure walnut.)
Now that the Jange's are coming with full tangs, I waited quite a while and missed several of them on special, and finally snagged one that came last week. It is from this deal here:

This is one of those that just comes to your hand and doesn't want to leave. Gorgeous Neem wood with perfect carving. No overruns on the rings. The buttcap is a bit thicker than usual, with no burrs or sharp edges that need to be filed down, and my magnet tells me it is not just white metal but steel. The blade spine and edge are perfectly straight, and the handle is aligned with the blade. Bura's initials are beautifully done in script. The extra long handle fits me like a glove. Habaki bolster and although the cho could be a quarter inch closer, at 3/4" from the bolster it's not bad and looks balanced.
Finally, the scabbard is perfectly fitted with flawless leather, the karda and chakmak are each a full 7" in length with large handles, _and_ the blade came out with a great sharpened edge already on it!
At 20" and 27 oz. it makes a great match to the hidden tang 20" 33 oz. one I got last year. This one was worth the wait!
I'll try to post some pics today or tomorrow of the two together for comparison purposes.
Thanks,
Norm
