  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I have this coming from a fellow in England. He takes recovered axes and re-shapes them. This appears to be in the style of a Viking bearded axe, but with a shorter shaped haft.

Hi and thanks for looking at this custom shaped unique Viking styled Battle Axe / Hatchet Ca 1910.
The vintage carbon steel head is in excellent condition with no defects and has been cleaned, treated, custom shaped by myself to retain the temper and all polished to show off the patina and character. Then the bit is polished and given a wicked edge sharp enough to slice paper.
The silky smooth handle is a vintage Ash complementing the head, sanded back, treated with Teak Oil and Beeswax for a superior grip and shine then fixed with a wooden and Steel wedge.

Dimensions:

Poll to bit - 5 3/8" / 138mm

Cutting edge - 3 1/2" / 89mm

Handle Length - 13 1/2" / 340gm

Weight - 1lb 1oz /482gm

Because of the impeccable balance it's very easy to use, swing, spin and manipulate. I can balance it on one finger and no side roll either. Easy to choke up on and good for intricate carving work.
