So, last night I was trying on my Sharpmaker to get this new fatty satin GW shaving sharp.. and it was taking FOREVEERRRRR (i actually posted another thread wondering why). Also last night that post about stabbing through four quarters came up... so... I decided to test out the new penetrator tip on the game warden. Let's just say it performed pretty well.

Okay, so this was only one quarter but I was still amazed.... here are some pictures.

The quarter when it was finally done. It took awhile to get through all the way (I didn't use a hammer).

I should note that stabbing through the quarter caused ZERO damage. The ever so slight dulling you see on the tip was from my sharpening attempts. I kept knocking the very front of the tip on the ceramic stone when I was trying to sharpen.
Enjoy!

Hey, that looks like fun!

Great pictures of the tip. I didn't know they were coming with penetrator tips now.

Yep, coins shiver at the mention of Busse! :D

Incidentally, tip dulling is pretty common for crock-stick type sharpeners that use rods that the tip slides off of at the end of the stroke. One of the advantages of the EdgePro you have coming is that, if used correctly, it'll leave a factory-perfect edge all the way to the tip, which looks very professional.

Awesome, thanks!

Now I can't wait for that Edge Pro to arrive! Can I re-work the penetrator tip as well with it?
