A place to throw?

I live in a neighborhood where the houses are almost touching (very old 'hood) and only have a small yard in the back with a small patch of grass. My yard is fenced with ceder on one side and the rest is cylcone. Most of the yard is cement except for the small section under the clothes line and next to my wife's small veggy patch. My question is:
Can you give me any suggestions on what type of hawk/knife throwing butt or target I should think about putting up in my back yard(probably should be portable)?

Seems to me that I read in one of the forums where someone used 4X4's to make a target butt. Anyone use ceder bales for throwing?

Bobby could probably offer some good experience on this topic, but I'll give it a shot too.

Log Rounds or Slices make the best Hawk targets....you can get them from your local power company or tree service.

I use a simple tripod made from three 2*4's and two braces that hold the log......I will upload a pic as soon as I can.....willow or pine are soft and easy to stick!

I have some plans for a portable target designed for apartment dwellers and folks who want to have a target they can set up in their garage. check out my site and look under the "About Bobby" section. It will be very similar to the one that my wife is standing up against. Mine is made from aluminum and wood and a bit larger but it is based on the same principal. You can lag bolt the slabs from the rear and hang multiple targets from it. I hope this helps. E mail me off list and I will try to get you a copy of the plans when I get back from Andy's. I am refining the plans for a friend.
