A plan?

Okay, so I love my Mnandi (LH snakewood). Some time ago I was looking for another dressy knife, but a bit bigger. Nothing struck my fancy and realized how much the Mnandi matched me.

So wanting to change things up a bit I came up with a plan:

1. Sell my Mnandi, order same but in Mammoth.

2. Carry for a while and raise money

3. Send back to CRK for gold/diamond inlays and refurb, probably for some kind of event. 19th birthday maybe?

4. Carry for a while and raise money (ponder Damascus patterns).

5. Send back to CRK for Damascus blade.



I think I'm on a five year plan. :o


What do you guys think?
 
Sounds like you have a pretty nice Mnandi already. Why not keep it and add to the collection? It will probably take just as long to get a Damascus blade for your current knife as it would to order a new one. Also the expense of gold w/diamond inlay will cost about as much as a new Mnandi. The good news is you're still young enough to start a collection that will inevitably turn into an addiction.:eek:

I've narrowed my "collection" quite a bit and are now at bare essentials. I use all knives I have.

I'm going for Damascus last because I really don't know what pattern I want. Do you think a Damascus blade that matches snakewood would also match mammoth?



The final is only have the joy, the other is the journey.
