Today I went with my dad and bro down to Missouri to stock up on fireworks for the Fourth of July. When we got back, there was a patented brown box with the day's mail. Inside was a nice 15" AK villager. I had reserved one as a gift for a friend of mine. Here are some specs for those interested:
OAL: 16"
Blade: 11" x 2 3/16" x 3/8"
Handle Wood: 4.5"
The blade shape on this villager vaguely resembles a YCS. I've touched up the edge a bit and coated it with Tuf-Cloth. Later I'll apply some boiled linseed oil to the handle and Brasso to the brass parts. I'm sure my friend will be pleased with it. I'm tempted to try it out on something but its my friend's and he gets to christen it. When I give it to him I'll be sure and give him a quick lesson in Khuk Safety 101.
Thanks for sending this Bill. How much do I owe you for it (I haven't checked email yet, so forgive me if you've already sent a message).
