This week I was the proud recipient of a few of the small gent knife part sets that Darrel Ralph designed for www.knifekits.com.
I was prett skeptical at first, when when I opened the package I was very, very impressed. These kits are truly precison made!
After 5 minutes of trial error figuring out a game-plan and getting my wrenches together I started putting the sucker together.
Precision at its best! They go together with ease, and exhibit seamless bolster/frame fit as well as high quality screws and small parts. The blades were nicely hollow ground and razor sharp.
After lubing, adjusting and bending the lockbar tension to suit my personal preferences the little knifekit feels like a high-end production knife that approaches a custom blade in smoothness.
Now off to contour the supplied scales.
