I received this email about my friend and teacher, Grey Eagle. Please send some smoke up for him today. Thank you! - David
Hello to all,
I took Grey Eagle back to St. Joseph's hospital 1-17-05. The graft in his leg is completely blocked and he is scheduled for another surgery today, 1-18. Please send prayers for him one more time.
On 1-6 his doctor gave him a great report and told him to come back in 3 months. On 1-12 there was severe pain in the leg for no apparent reason and it continued to get worse. We were told that the first procedure had only a 50/50 chance of working since they could not find an undamaged vein in Grey Eagle's leg to use as a replacement. We all feared that a blockage might occur within the first year. We are assuming that today they will use the final option of taking a vein from one of his arms to use as a replacement for the artery in his leg.
For a stone carver who's life is in his arms and hands, this is frightening news. We are being assured that this procedure will not effect his work but with any surgery, there is always a risk. We are keeping our faith that Great Spirit will prevail, we will have our precious one home again soon and doing stone works that are more incredible than ever.
We thank you all again for helping us through all of this. Your prayers, love, cards and calls have made a great difference. Please send up that energy for him one more time.
