I picked this one up yesterday, mainly because I love wood boxes and also because the total cost was less than 3/8 ($57/$160) of what the Buck catalog listed them for in 1997.

Plum

Another nice pick up. Is it a gent?

Yes it is. I also saw another one for the same price, but it came in a jewlery box, not the wooden one and had a plain smooth back. Mine has a design and place for engraving on the back.

you will soon need a display box for all them little pirttys!

What I need to do is to talk my wife into letting me have the built in hutch/display cabinet in the living room. It's about 4' tall and 8' wide with glass doors and a mirrored back. It has three glass shelves and would really be great to display some of my nicer knives.

Problem is, she has it stuffed full of porcelain dolls that she made years ago. Oh well, it's easier for me to store the knives than it would be to find a safe place for the dolls.:o

You bet she is.:thumbup: I've had the pleasure of being married to her for over 46 years and have alot more invested in her than I do in my Bucks and scooters.

I keeps tellin' ya, 334dave...there's a biker bar right down the street from me that's full of desperate wives-to-be...They already been through hell, they're just looking for security now...Some of 'em look pretty good... :D

And they're three handed...Cell phone in left hand, cigarette in right hand, and coffee/drink in the other hand...

I don't know how they do it...I watched one broad smoking and drinking at the same time...I mean the butt never left her mouth...She just poured the drink in next to it...and kept on puffing...

...*That's* a keeper!!!... :p

"...*That's* a keeper!!!... "

:D Sounds more like a "catch and release" situation myself!

That's considered "primo" around here... :p

I played Euchre with her as my partner for about 4 hours...She could talk, drink, slap cards down, rake in the quarters, and roll the cigarette from one side of her mouth to the other without touching it...amazing...

(She had a couple other skills as well...ah, to be young again...) :o

HA HA HA!!! That line is a "keeper"! :D

Anyway, Plumberdv, I recall seeing those knives in the store when they were first released. Thought about it and didn't get one. Wish I did along with the 184 when I saw that on the shelf.

As for the wives; don't take no lip. It's a man's world and they're just in it.

My wife suggested that my Kalinga Buff and matching Five-O 110 would look nice on the shelf in the front room. I replied, "don't you ever tell me what do to with my knives!!! Grab me a beer and go wash my scoot instead of telling me I can display my knives in the front room!!!".

I'm glad she doesn't read this forum. The couch isn't that comfy ;)

Hey Goose,
I tried that line on my wife one time and she decided to take temporary possession of my sports car (my version of your scooter) Lucky for me she didn't know how to drive a stick. ;):jerkit: ...and to keep this knife related...I always keep a nice custom 110 in the glove box. :)

That is a cool ride Mike!
So, did you teach her to use a standard? I think that's important in case of emergencies.

Oh, here's the set I was speaking of (to keep this at least knife/display related)...

BTW, thanks again for that 110 Mike :) It is a display case. And the Kalinga is in the front room as the wife suggested :)
