back in the early summer i stopped by Richard J's place and spent a little time at his shop. he helped sharpen up a problem knife for me and showed me some pieces he had done. one was this blade that i pounded into some good hard wood with absolutely no edge damage. it still shaved my arm at the end! anyway, i've been meaning to get this video up for him for some time. Richard, sorry i took so long! anyway, here it is, hope you all enjoy:

That is a horrible knife you probably overpaid for.... just kidding
richard does amazing stuff. when my paycheck grows up, i will buy one of his knives.

Richard is a human CNC machine with the edges he produces on those wheels. Just flawlessly finished convex grinds. Great stuff.

hk, i used a belt sander to form the convex edge on your knife but i finished the edge on the slotted paper wheel. i cant wait to see a video of you shaving your face with it :D.

I have some stills of the last time I did it. You'll have to wait a couple weeks for a video. ; D

Hey Richard! Nice work! Any ideas yet on my CS boot knife?
