I was just about to buy an MOD Trident whan I found that that particular knife had consistantly failed the spine whack test. Now I had examined the construction and it has seemed fairly stout to me... but what do I know...
I was wondering if you fellow forum members had heard that this was true of MOD knives, and if so... what does this mean to me? Is the LL on MT knives any better? I HAD been about to buy a Commander when I became dissatisfied with the general fit and finish of the Emerson knives I had examined... With the MOD trident I had thought I had found my knife... 8-(
Do you think the MOD knives are a quality product or is the lock a weak point in their design? Is the LL on the Commander any stronger? Should I just get a Pocket Hobbit with a rolling lock or a BM730 and forget the MOD knife? The knife will be carried daily for the purpose of defense...
What's your opinion?
Thanks,
Ben
