I purchased a knife second hand. It is handmade by a well-known new maker.
It is nice, and has some problems that I doubt seriously are caused by wear, use, or abuse. It is just cosmetic, and doesn't have impact on the knive's performance in any way.
Do I write a review including photos of the flaws, or do I contact the maker first?
I'm interested in everyone's opinions, but especially you knife makers. How would you handle this situation?
