Greetings,
rdangerer, in another thread on this forum stated that "440V cuts great, don't chop with it (or with any folder)". I'm pretty new to the knife world, and so I'm sure that I subject my knives to some abuse that they weren't meant for. I'm pretty sure I understand why a folder shouldn't be used for chopping, but if it's all you got, then why would 440V be a particularly poor choice for chopping?
I'm asking this question because (a) I'd like to understand better the performance limitations of my knives, and (b) I am thinking about buying a Chinook for a hard-use wilderness folder.
Thanks for your help!
Matthew
