A question about the Vantage Force Pro

I have a couple of them, but like so many of my knives, they never do more than open an occasional envelope. I stuck one in my pocket this morning and started wondering how well the black oxide coating holds up under everyday use. Does it show much wear under use?

It holds up very good. Dont cut ceiling tile with it, it will take it off quickly.

I've used mine as an EDC for a while and it seems to hold up. I was curious as well, but as I started to use it, it maintains its coating pretty well. I don't think it is an actual coating though. Isn't it similar to bluing on a gun, a kind of accelerated rusting process?

I scratched mine right away, cutting the burlap off a root ball of a dogwood. Musta hit a rock or something.
