A question about Victorinox bag springs

Just wondering if nyone knows how compatible/ tinkerable a Victorinox Recruit might be - I've got a spare saw blade I'd like to swap the main blade out for - will the back spring be compatible enough - or could I mod it with a dremmel?

any advice appreciated
 
The spring would be fine, the real question is if there's room in The handle for the saw blade.
