A question for Alan Folt knife owners

Hi to anyone willing to help me out I lucked out over the holidays and have acquired extra funds to buy my first custom knives. I've been looking around and seen many customs that are 500-2000 dollars. They are nice but the expensive price tags turn me off. Especially if i end up using it as a knife not just a looker someday.i usually blow my cash on spydercos , i have a bunch out of the 10 or so I ownly e.d.c. only three and actually cut with. My paramilitary 2, endurance4 ffg and my vg 10 spot. The spot is awesome I just grew to love it so much. Which leads me to Alan folts knives Im looking for a fixed blade custom under 150 each. I'm def picking up a baby bear cuz the knife in sheath is gadget like cool to me. My dilemma is which to choose a minimalist or a splice. I need something to upgrade my spot and also use to swap it out so the spot doesn't dull out. I feel that Alan folts customs are a good price for the quality of the pics I see and materials being used. So please help me !
