I have a sheath of your that is tannish in color. I think it is just the natural color of the leather. My question is this: Natural or already dyed, if I want to have it dyed black, is that possible at this point? Thanks! If so, I need to get it to you. :)
 
I had a holster belt that was dyed and sealed reddish brown. A friend who does some simple leather work used some kind of leather stripper that removed the sealer. He then dyed the belt to match the custom cross draw holster he made. The match was perfect. He then sealed all the leather.

I'm sure Dwayne can do whatever work you might want. He's a great guy and a true artist.
 
I thought a leather stripper was a.... nevermind.

Its most likely saddle tan dye, but yes it can be re-dyed black. I only use a wax to seal my sheaths so a simple wipe down with a deglazer and its good to go.

Send it on in to me and I'll send it back a different color. :)

Dwayne's not a huge guy by any means, but when he gives you a boner, you know it!

Before I got my new and improved boner, I was working with much smaller equipment.

If you have a smaller boner, I highly recommend an upgrade.

I've got enough antler tips lying around to make wind chimes!! Should I prep the 'bone' in some way to make it an acceptable tool?
 
You'll want to rub your boner with something, high grit sandpaper possibly, to get it nice and smooth near the tip.

If it looks dry, oil it up a bit with mineral oil, not too much though, your not playing with it!

I knock off the sharp edges at the base, be careful though, if you rub too hard the friction and heat will raise a stink and the wife will ask you what your up to.

I just cant keep my hands off mine! Its so shiny I can see my reflection in it. Its looking at me right now as a matter of fact......
