Anyone have an idea as to why my air conditioning airflow on my truck would suddenly stop coming out the vents in the dash, and instead start coming out of the defroster vents? It's got me stumped.

99 Dodge ram. I think I found the problem, the vacuum hose going into the firewall. Do you think that could be the problem?

This is complicated, I think I'm going to have to take her in for service. Tight working spaces too.

yeah, vaccume powered vent controls can be pretty complex, at least you know about it, vaccum leaks can loose you some fuel economy, so its worth sorting out if you can.

I finally got it fixed. Just had to put a patch on the vacuum hose. For once, a simple fix! Only problem was how tight the space was.
