A question for Chris Caracci

I dont know if he posts on here anymore or follows it at all, but... I had a question for you Chris.

Im a student under your friend Alex Wilkie, I actually have trained with Alex since I was 9, so roughly 23ish years. I own and operate the only Wilkie's affiliate school in the midwest. Ive heard tons of stories about you and have seen all the infamous pictures of Al trying to assault you. Alex recommended I bought your AFCK, and I did. It was by far my favorite knife. So, heres my question for you... Since you dont have contact with benchmade anymore and you havent had any input "officially" in any new knife designs, what knife do YOU carry day in and day out? Is it a folder, if so what kind? Is it a fixed blade? And do you have any plans on maybe putting out a new one? I know Richard Marcinko has advised Strider knives to create a knife for him, the Rogue Warrior SMF. And Denny Chalker helped out with the Emerson Commander. SO, if youre still on here and come by reading this... Can you answer those questions above? I would love to hear your input. And Ill make sure when I talk to Alex that you said hi.

Not sure if this helps, but I believe that the CQC-8 was designed with input from Chris Caracci, it feels very similar to the AFCK in the hand and the tip ends up in a similar position from the hand. If you don't like the wave opener, Emerson has several waveless CQC-8s available from a limited run that was just released, if you want one, get it while you can.

I love the original AFCK, but the CQC-8 is an excellent substitute.

The closest thing to the AFCK I have found is the Spyderco Military

Curious as well. I've trained almost exclusively with AFCKs since the late 1990s and was sad to see them totally discontinued. Waveless CQC8s work nicely too. The Spyderco Police 3 is another nice alternative if you don't like the Military tip down only carry.
