Hi Dan:
When you completely tweak an HI khukuri (giving it "the works" as you call it), is it advantageous to remove the handle to facilitate the work, even though it might add a bit to the expense? If yes, are you comfortable with making a NHLB (non habaki like bolster), or modifying the given bolster to make it a NHLB? Thanks for the input, DaN.
