A Question For The Buck Guys

Are there any other steel options for the 119 and the 120, or is 420HC the only option coming from Buck?

Also, if so, how deep do the pockets need to be to procure such a tool?

I have always loved Buck knives, and I do not have anything in particular against 420HC. I own several in that steel (couple 110's), and two in S30V (Alaskan Guide- 113 and 692?). Just a question I am curious about, because I would like to pick up both a 119 and a 120 at some point in the near future.

(A custom 112FG is also on the list, and been debating a 124 [emoji2])

Thanks for all your help!

You're welcome. That 119 in s30v is really tempting. I do want.

I was actually just looking at that exact one. I put the S30V 119 and the 5160 120 in my cart to check price, I think I'm going to get rid of my Survive! In favor of these two. Never going to use it, and I know I would use both the 119 and the 120. I love that red 119, it's a nice change from the traditional black.

Post some pics when you get them. :) Crossing fingers for them to offer a 124 in 5160 or S30V.

For sure! And thanks again! I'm really excited to get back into owning and using my Bucks [emoji1]

The 119, S30V, is also available in the Alaskan Guide series...just in case you want to add to the family. Preston

Sweet! I will have to check that out next, after the funds recoup from the first two [emoji6]

Is that Kapernick in your avatar?
Buck's 119 has been offered in many different steels through the years. At least 10. The current ones are easy to find and the ones you're after. DM

I'm fairly certain that is Mr. Bob Marley in Bloody_Pawprint's avatar.

Thank you my friend, I'm really liking a few I've found and I think I will probably pick them up once I sell a knife (or two)!

Indeed it is, Mr. Bob Marley [emoji2]

OK David, I can only think of 5..... finish the list for me. /Roger
440C
425m
420HC
S30V
5160

Saw a thread that showed one in ATS-34. That would make 6 so far.

ETA: also heard a rumor of one in BG42, but didn't see a picture.

There are lots of places either in person or online to purchase a 119 in different steels. S30V and 420 most common. . I bought one from Buck with black s30v blade.

Oh man, that's pretty!!

John's right. So, now were at 8. Then there were at least 2 offered with the Buckcote. A gold, grey and wine color blade. I've heard of a Damascus model. DM

Might not be a different steel but weren't there several different 119 versions with the ion fusion style blades?
