I have had an itch for quite a while to get myself an RMJ hawk like this one

but now that the rattle hawk is out, i find myself wondering if it might scratch that same itch

The RMJ is 4140 steel differentially treated, the Rattle Hawk is SR101... do you think these are comparable, or does one have a clear edge?

Heh, this reminds me of the person who walked into the Chevy dealership and asked about the new Ford offering. :p

If you want a truly non biased response its probably best to ask over on the Axe/Hawk forum.

I've never owned or handled an RMJ product so I cant give an informed opinion aside from "which design flips your switch" as they are very different.

If you love hawks-you will still want them both. Both will do the same, but are a little different. Many many people on here (Busse-kin) all own RMJ stuff too. Its not CS quality if that's what your wondering. I know there is a lot of jibber-jabber about some of the stuff being drop forged and others not, but I just know they make really nice hawks too.

If the Rattle Hawk can stand up the the abuse I put my Shrike through we're in for a treat!
