I know some of you are avid deer hunters like myself. I have been thinking about a Knife giveaway. I want to do a Big Buck Contest and the winner will get one of my knives as the prize.

I know it is way early, to be thinking about deer hunting. But I was taking down some tree stands last weekend and got to thinking that this would be a cool little contest.

If anyone has some ideas on this. Like, maybe a limit of entrys or something of that nature, I would really like to hear them. I do know that the entrys will have to be done only by photos and the honor system. I would like to have a shot of the deer and the forum member in the same photo.


So, what do you guys think? I know Brian T is in:D he is the only one who caught what I posted in the other thread.

:thumbup: Cool contest,I would specify which knife model your giving away...with knife already built up w/picture & specs ,you know children and to many choices will drive you into the ground and contest will be more work than fun... LOL ! :D
Give away knife could easly be the lil' NWA passaround after it is return to you and you clean it up and resharpend to your liking :)
 
Wish I hunted, sounds like a cool idea. I look forward to some great pics though
 
Sounds like an awesome idea for a contest :thumbup: I don't hunt right now either, but I definitely want to learn and get into it at some point down the line. Looking forward to the pictures and stories though!
 
I'm not sure what knife it will be. I think I will just give the winner a pick form the Sierra Scout down to the smallest one I make. This will leave out the Woodsman,6" version of the Scout and the fillet knife. I am working on ( along with Tknifes order) another new smaller style that will maybe be actractive to the bushcraft crowd.

Looks like I'll have to ask my company to just start direct depositing my paycheck to you :D I am really interested to see what the new knife is!
 
Well, for people who don't hunt, you could do a biggest shed from this year contest or something.

Just a thought.
 
The way we score for my camps contest each year is length of beams + spread + length of points. It's pretty simple and gives a pretty accurate picture of the size of a rack.
