A question of worth

Here is the history,
About 2 years ago I was able to purchase a Colt Model P six shooter for an amount I would say was fair. Anyway in the process of finalizing this deal I managed to get the guy to throw in a large Colt Cowboy Bowie Knife with stag scale handles, 1/4" thick blade of CT-33 steel? this knife is also numbered 42 of 1000, it also came with a fairly well made leather sheath, and it also has what appears to be a small silver medallion inlaid in one of the stag scales with the Colt emblem. It is made in Solingen Germany and is a decent looking bowie. So what can you guys tell me about it? is it really worth anything? Thanks for checking this out.
One more thing, the spine of the blade has some file work.

Discountknives.com lists it (under United Cutlery):

Price Retail Number

Colt Cowboy Bowie $275.00 $549.99 CT33

From this info, we can almost certainly say that "CT33" is not the steel but the model number.

I was surprised by the price. High for UC.

Hope this sheds some light on the situation!

Thank you Andrew, maybe I'll find another Colt fanatic and make a trade sometime, but hey I guess it wasn't completely worthless after all.:D
