Hi,

I'm new here, about to get my first Seb. I'd like a confirmation on the
blade and handle finishings on the different models.

I'm interested in the large Seb's.

I understand that the large classic has a stone washed blade and an unpolished handle. Do the wood and micarta inlay models also have the
same stone washed blade and unpolished handle? But the computer
graphic models that have a satin blade and handle, is that correct?

Many thanx for you patience,
Cary (from Australia!)

The wood inlayed and CGG have a satin finished blade, and a polished Ti handle. Like that :

The micarta inlayed have a stonewashed blade.

The large and small Classic micarta models have bead-blasted handles along with the stonewashed blades.

Fantastic, thats what I wanted to know. I was thinking of getting the large classic with African Blackwood and a large classic with Micarta, and didn't want them too similiar. Your answers have told me that the blades and handles are finished differently on each of those knives. I've seen plenty of pictures of Seb's but under different lighting and angles, I could not definitively tell.

The one shown on the pictures of my post is a small classic african blackwood :)

Absolutely gorgeous knife. I love this wood. Good choice
