A Question on Handle Wrapping

I hope someone here can help me out. I'm not trying to wrap a sword handle, but rather a skeleton knife - a D2 Camillus Arclite from A.G. Russell to be exact. I had the knife coated in Boron Carbide, and now I would like to do something with the handle. I have some 1/4" wide flat nylon wrapping material. I would like to wrap it in a traditional Japanese sword style. I have been searching the WEB and the various forums for instructions with illustrations on how to accomplish this with no luck so far. On the Strider Knife Forum, I found instructions on how to re-wrap one of their knives, but that is not the traditional style I am trying to achieve. I was hoping someone here could direct me to a website or a book where I could find this sort of information. Thanks.

Pete,

Thank you. That is exactly what I am looking for. I'm not too sure how long this project will take me. The techniques appear to be very intricate. I will try to find the simplest one and practice. Thanks again, I will send you some digital pix when I am finished.
