I recently acquired a Pathfinder (model 26) with carbon steel blade and wooden handle. I'm not sure what kind of wood it is, I'm pretty sure it's ironwood. The questions is, how durable is the wood on Randall knives ? I plan on using the knife as a carry knife, and I need to know exactly what I can or cannot do with the wooden handle.

Thanks in advance, you guys are the best.

I've got a Randall Model 7 with a rosewood handle that I bought from Randall 20 years ago and it looks like new and I've used it for everything. It requires no special care that I know of and I've not done anything to the one I own.
