I wanted to apologize, quickly, for my behavior in the grinders thread. Yesterday was a bad day for a variety of reasons and one of those days I should've just stayed off the computer. There's no excuse for poor behavior, so I apologize for my part in it to everybody who reads this forum. I have a tendency to be a little like a pitbull. Once I go on the defensive I tend to have trouble doing this: :footinmou
I don't think you are a bunch of good ol' boy p%$icks, and I've always enjoyed the discussions here and GREATLY value the camaraderie and the information. That comment wasn't really aimed at anyone in particular, I was just frustrated that no one was listening to my explanation.
While I can't say the method was the gentlest around, I am inspired to do less "talking" and more grinding. I went home and put together a pile of some knives to sell, etc, to get me toward a better grinder and start producing a larger number of knives more quickly. So, thanks for the wake-up call.
A few other off-topic jabs came in on me, and I'll say this only as far as that goes: there are two sides to every coin. Don't be too quick to throw in on one side of an argument, or another, until the full story comes out.
But, anyway, I don't expect anyone to post here (I'd prefer if they don't), I just want this to stand alone. My apologies, and I hope to continue on as a contributing member of this site in good standing.
More personal apologies have been sent out to those who I feel deserve them, so I hope people receive them and read them and take them to heart.
In any case, sorry for my part in bringing the level of this forum down a bit yesterday. :footinmou :barf:
I hope everyone has a nice weekend... it's snowing here and I just sold a knife to a guy in FL who said "Yeah, I just turned on my A/C!"
