No specific deal here, so no deal spotting as per forum rules.
Academy Sports and Outdoors is closing out a lot of their seasonal hunting gear now. Nothing in particular, and as I found out, merchandise varies widely from store to store.
Some nice day packs, nice hunting packs, different sized of fanny packs and other goodies are there in camo (Mossy Oak and others) for 25 to 40% off. Never seen price cuts this deep, I am guessing they are following the lead of other retailers, and that is to keep all inventory down as low as possible.
I found a nice day pack branded "Remington" (the gun guys) with lots of pockets, compression straps, organizers, outside bottle mesh bags, hydration ready, hip belt, nicely padded shoulder straps, sternum strap, and with plenty of room inside at 50% off. It is a neat little pack. I got the last one at $24. A trip to the next nearest store in search of some other treasure came up with nothing worth buying. As they told me, "it just depends on the store".
But still even that store had a lot of nice hunting style packs and little gear bags for anyone interested. Certainly worth a trip if you have one nearby.
Guess hunting season is really over.
