Is this looking like the same handle shape as a proper? Or completely new design?

That was my first thought as well but I think we are seeing a reflection on the liner.
Of course the fact that my 710 does exactly as you describe leaves me gun shy.

Please, please, please give it a stronger spring than the one in the Proper. I had a Proper on a Tuesday and sold it on a Wednesday. The weak spring was a real let down.

Benchmade, if you're listening, it might be too late but please give your new slipjoint a stronger spring.

From the photos they use the same colours and materials for the scales, so the only distinction is the blade.

Huh. Interesting. Definitley want to see one and get it in hand hopefully. Although it may only be a blade change, if they made the spring snappier I'd go for it probably.

They have referred to "refinement" a few times, and that's the only feature I've heard issues with.
