I got out for a few hours today and had some tea and soup. It was opening day of the NC squirrel season so I carried a rifle. I only saw a few bushy tails but it was beautiful outside. Cool and foggy with a nice breeze to help bring the foliage and acorns down. Here are some pics.

I primarily walked the creek. It was nice and peaceful.

I found a rock bench and settled in for lunch. The forest was really alive today. I saw birds, turtles, squirrels, and deer.

He was the only one that I was fast enough to get a photo of.

Great photo, in a lot of parts of the US this is a shot of days gone by. Just being able to walk in the woods with a .22 is rare in many places these days.
Thanks for sharing.

Your pictures have a dreamy vintage look to them - the color saturation, haziness, and focus level. I assume it's a result of the camera (cell phone?), photobucket compression, and steamy weather. Thanks for sharing.

Like the knife too.

Looks like time well spent, Wooly - thanks for posting!

I'm gonna check out that bowl, too...
