A hand full of us rallied together for a BCUSA meet last weekend at one of my regular sites. We trimmed about six pounds of venison while sitting on the ground and it was less then comfortable. Since several of the guys mentioned using this site for future solo trips, I decided to take a quick trip out there this morning and build a table. It's constructed with jute twine so that as the wood rots, only natural materials will remain. I also left a baton and a pot hook/lid lifter hanging on it. With a cloth and a light weight cutting board, it's a good place to stand and prep your meal. Next trip I'm going to carry a thin piece of tin to use as a base for my esbit stove so I can cook on top of the table. While there, I also made some tea and did some fishing in the creek that runs next to camp.
