Nothing fancy but some buddies and I hiked out Friday for a quick overnighter. The weather was fantastic!

The sunset was beautiful on the way up

My buddy brought a well loved companion. It's always nice having a dog around camp :)

Venison tenderloin for dinner. We ate like kings, took a night hike up the mountain, then hung out around the fire until bedtime.

Looks like a great time. - - I love the smell of coffee going early in the morning. It even coaxes you out of a warm sleeping bag when chilly out.

just curious, is the hammock suitable for side sleeping?

I don't have a hammock quite like his in the photos. Mine is a DIY 12x6, which should be much larger, and give a flatter lay.

I'm usually a side sleeper, but in my hammock, I sleep on my back. I think you could get a decent side lay in one, but I've so far been happier/more comfortable in my back. Your mileage may vary though.

And its good to see others getting out there OP :). Thanks for sharing.
