A quick question on identification

Got a small vintage axe head a few years back. It is small at around 1 1/2 lbs which I put on about a 20" haft. There are no markings on the sides of the head, but does have a D Y on the top of the poll. Any idea on who manufacturer may have been? Can post a pic later if that helps.

Yeah a pic is a necessity for a guess! I don't recognize a "DY" combo. I know some True Temper axes and hatchets were stamped with a "D". A quality control mark I believe.
