What problems has anyone had with the durability of linen micarta on their Busse's? I don't exactly have a PROBLEM, but I was putting a rough satin finish on mine with a foam sandpaper block where the ends were naked foam. I had the foam rubbing against the top of the slabs while finishing the choil and the tip of one of the micarta points just.....came off.
It IS just a little piece that won't at all affect performance....but will I have a problem with the rest of the handle? I DO tend to be hard on my things which is why I'm asking. The micarta tip came off just by being rubbed by foam for a few minutes...and not hard at that.
I've seen the durability of canvas and haven't had ANY damage on any of my canvas handled Busse's....this is just my first experience with green linen.
I'll have to get some pics up later. It'll be hard to show as it's pretty small...like a BB cut in half...or actually maybe a little less.
