Hello all
Well I first ordered a PE Crossbill (thx fellow forumites) and was very impressed. Pretty solid piece, very sharp out of the box and the lock-up was good (not Spyderco spec, but GREAT for a cheapie knife).
However, the knife just didn't feel right in my pocket. It was just too wide. Well, the significant was eyeballing the Crossbill and was very happy when I offered it to her. Since she carries in her purse, the width was not a problem.
So, I "needed" another Byrd and the Flight model caught my eye. Well, a long story short, it's GREAT (no qualifiers) ! ! ! The unit came razor sharp, with a rock solid lock-up (get this NO PLAY what so EVER). Hard to believe this is a cheap china made knife.
For the price, it's really hard to beat a Byrd
Buy one, two or more
BTW, the Flight came in a new printed box. Not the usual plain white box. It has a really funky Bird/Dinosaur on it. Kinda cool and more than a little wierd.
