Hi guys,
Last week I've been staying in Geneva, Switzerland in the context of a study trip of my Advanced Masters degree in International Relations & Diplomacy. After visiting countless mutlilateral organizations and NGO's and often hearing the same promo talk over and over again, we finally had some spare time to wander throughout Geneva itself, on our own. Well, that was quite the eye opener. Lot's of fancy stores, where they don't even put pricetags near watches in the windows etcetera. Just to give you an idea.
After a while I stumbled upon this...
I was all like: OH MY GOD ARE YOU KIDDING ME! And that didn't get any better once I got inside their store...
Once you're inside, you've got this wall-o'-knives...
Below the ground level, not all -but many- of their knives are displayed with the price. Some of the models I hadn't seen before.
I'm sorry for the fact that I wasn't able to take pics of individual knives. The shopowners weren't so keen on photographers.
Before I left though, I had the chance to quickly take two snaps of this...
All gold scales, covered in diamonds. The bottom right one costed 105.000 Swiss francs, being 111.335USD...
Another shot of the 'expensive' case. All of these knives had nice round numbers, with several zeros on their pricetag.
I walked out somewhat baffled, mindblown, but extremely pleased I had the opportunity to stroll around in this Victorinox shop in Switzerland itself. It was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.
With the little spare Swiss money I still had in my pocket, I was still able to buy this beauty.
Fits well with my orange alox Cadet.
Well, that was it. I hope you guys enjoyed the short tour in the Geneva Victorinox shop. I did for sure. I apologize for the picture quality, the shop pics were taken with my phone.
Regards,
Jerry
