A few weeks back I was very lucky, I recieved a 'mob'of knives (a couple of which I've yet to even post about).
Together with lack of time and issues with my work computer being hacked, I have not properly had chance to post about a great week knife Alex (puukkoman) sent me, by way of thanks for some Nordic knife making bits and bobs I sent him.
I don't know a great deal about it or the manufacturer. Given the 'CSC' stamp I wonder if it is Canal Street Cutlery maybe??
Here are some pics I just braved the arctic winds on site to show you this old boy, along side the lil Case Peanut, another knife gifted to me, for scale and reference.
Thank you Alex, this was a nice treat.
The carbon blades, show the test of time, they are somewhat weathered looking along their surfaces. They have ceratinly been used, but not abused. The steel takes a great edge.
The small pen blade has a nice solid half & full stop.
The main, a little tricky to access the nick due to the pen, is a 'softer' in the full stop postion. There's a barely flat spot on the tang which marginally constitutes a half stop.
I'm not used to such a 'worn in' looking knife. The bone scales are pocket polised smooth. One is liftign slightly, but it'll hold up for a good while yet.
Thanks again to you Alex and Uncle Andi too.
