A Ranger but not a Buck

Once again thank you!

Some of you helped me with ideas to find a name
for our dog. And we found a Name. The family decided
to call him

Ranger

Bucksway will like this name. You too?

Yes it seems that he will become a big dog.
He's just five month old. And he has another half a year to grow.
Feeding the dog? --- he's a hunter ... ;-))

What type of hound is he?
He's a good looking fella, and seems to enjoy his day in the woods.:thumbup:
 
Sorry, Flat, I forgot to answer.

Ja, es ist ein Super-Hund ;-))

He is a Rhodesian Ridgeback, These dogs were breeded for lion hunting.
With this case he is very heedful and fast in his reactions.
And yes, he enjoys to walk in the nature and to sniff what happens there.

Old thread, same dog.

One story for all the brave lap dogs here and there:

Some days ago in the evening Ranger went AWOL and came back two hours
later with a big belly and smelling like the crusted feeding dish from neighbors cat.

One or two days later we got to know what has happened. Ranger leaped
over the fence, cleared out all all feeding dishes from the first, second, third
and fourth neighbor's dog and cat, found the window from the living room of the fifth
house open and jumped through the window ...

... in this room an old women was watching TV. Ranger jumped on the couch beside
her, stuffed oneself with the womens prezel sticks and went through the window
after the crystal bowl was completely emptied and carefully wiped out. After that
Ranger came home as though nothing has happened ...

I don't want to know what the old women felt when the snarling dog was jumping
aside her, and scarfed the salt sticks. My heart would be in my boots.

We need a updated photo.

My sister has a cross breed Rhodesian Ridgeback, Half Rhodesian and half German Shepard from the looks of him.

He started as this:

I don' know. I didn't have a talk with them after the robbery. But there is a dangerous silence around our house in the moment ...

Both, the Rhodesian Ridgebacks and the German Sheperds are very intelligent Dogs. It is always impressing what these Dogs are able to do. But the more nonsense happens too. And both together? What is the dominant character from the dog? European or Aftican?

That would be my recommendation for the lady. But it would not be the best way to tell it to her ...

How high the fence is? Not high enough! (roundabout four feet). Six feet will not be enough to be a barrier for the dog. We try out electronic facilities.

Herbert,

Your best pal Ranger is just letting you know he did not wish to be named after a Buck knife! He feels he's an "Army Ranger", and showed you he can pull off a raid to make you proud...LOL.
