In light of recent ongoings in this forum, I feel compelled to ask, when did we as a society, go off the rails? Was it a specific moment in time, or just a slow decay? A descent into apathy, and debauchery.
I feel that this quote could not be more apropos:

I feel like its time someone said something. Dismiss me as a fanboy if you want, but this has more to do with life, than just business or knives.
Seriously, what has happened to our once Great Nation? When did the masses become the critics instead of the doers of deeds?
Ellie & Guy, You are the ones in the arena. Please reread T.R.s quote and hold your heads high! You are the type of souls that built our once great Nation! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Please Keep Striving! In my estimation, you have done an excellent job so far, and more than that, you are setting an example for others to follow.
To the critics and spectators, (myself included) whether born from a good natured intent to help, an indulgence in self-gratification by expressing your discontent, or just a desire to tear down and bitch; please reread T.R.s quote and ask yourself which person you would rather be? Also, please keep in mind that Im not just referring to Survive Knives, Im referring to every aspect of our lives, how you perform at work, what you do for recreation, how you talk to your spouse. Its so easy to fall into the cesspool of negativity, and much more difficult to self-examine, and change course once you have. Endeavor to be a better person. To be positive. To achieve out of reach goals. Concern yourself not with what someone else does or does not do, but attempt to be the best version of yourself.
Stop disparaging others for their efforts. Encourage and support them. Our economy is in the toilet, jobs are moving to other countries. Dont you think its time to start making an effort to support American business? Businesses like Survive! To encourage them to succeed?
At least for the time being, the economic system of our nation is capitalism. Vote with your dollars. If you approve of the way they do things, of the products that they produce, then buy their products. If not, then Dont. It really is that simple.
This situation, as well as every other should be as simple as one of the kindergarten rules: If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. Yes, the first Amendment guarantees the right to free speech, and you do have every right to say what you want; but should you? Which are you, the Doer, or the critic?
Dont bother to respond if you got all butthurt. I dont want to hear it. Besides, youll just further my confirm my thinking. Spend that energy on some serious introspection.
Lastly, Id like to leave you with a final thought. If you think you have the answer, Shut your pie holster, put your money where your mouth is, and build a better knife and knife company! After all, isnt that what Guy did/is doing?
