A real lambfoot from a swell fella.

That's awesome. That handle looks mighty comfortable.

Wonderful gesture Jack.

Those Lambfoot are nice knives, well made and the steel they are using are taking great edges. :)

Congratz Woodrow... you´ll like yours!

Well done, Jack - a great knife for a deserving member.

The fun part was (easily) guessing whom (and where) the knife was from, based solely on the thread title.

Congrats, Woodrow.

Nicely done, Jack. Again. :)

Wonderful UK care package from our British Stalwart!!!

Meaks, I can't imagine you slaying those Beasts quietly!! Noisily, yes. . . . .

In the next few days, I'm going to put this on a stone, then we'll see how it does. :D

Yes, I shipped it with the factory edge, which I think is about typical of Sheffield factory edge these days, well-ground, but not the sharpest. It'll cut paper I think (though they won't always), but not up to hair-shaving. Wanted you to see what passes for an edge among Sheffield cutlers today. Personally, I think they're about on a par with GEC, but with slightly thinner edges perhaps. The typical fit and finish otherwise, from a typical Sheffield factory knife these days, is more like Queen than GEC, or even worse I'm afraid. I think you'll find it sharpens easy, and takes a good edge. Hope so! :)

It cut through some peaches fine, but when I went to cut open a bag of candy last night..... whew, that was not easy. Definitely a dull knife. I found one of my GECs were similarly dull. I expect it will take an edge though. I'll probably get to it next evening though.

Good on you Jack

I hope you enjoy this quintessentially British pattern Woodrow.

Isn't the steel something like C70 or C75?

Great looking knife! I love the shape of the handle on these lambfoots. Great score, and good on Jack!

That beer looks tasty too.
